Clearabee, a sought-after waste removal company, recently signed a lucrative contract to provide the Co-op with reactive rubbish removal services. The contract is set to last three years. It will involve removal of all the unplanned waste from retail stores and funeral care homes spread across the United Kingdom.
The Nature of the Contract
In this contract, Clearabee expects over 5,000 waste collections each year. They will rely on their professional team of 250 workers and a fleet of 100 waste collection vehicles to get the job done. The services will span across 2,500 retail stores and 1,000 funeral homes and is one of the biggest jobs Clearabee has landed since its establishment. This offers them a chance to cement their brand in the waste management industry.
The types of waste to be collected will include illegally-dumped refuse in parking lots as well as spoilt food from the Co-ops refrigeration facilities. Clearabee grabbed this golden contract from Biffa, one of the five integrated waste management giants in the UK.
Clearabee Management’s Take
The founder and managing director of Clearabee, Daniel Long, said that this great opportunity would give them a chance to demonstrate their capacity to provide waste removal services for large organizations and at a national scale. He expressed his excitement and gratitude for having won the contract.
Long also emphasized that with their innovative methods of rubbish removal coupled with their wide reach across the UK, they were in a position to fulfil their obligations rapidly and efficiently. He further said that the nature of collection would ensure that Co-op realizes a notable reduction in unplanned rubbish removal costs.
Thoughts from the Co-operative on the Contract
Reporting for the Co-op, Abbie Case, the senior contract manager, expressed her delight on working with a company as acclaimed as Clearabee in the waste collection business. She emphasized that Co-op being a renowned brand needed to work with a company they could rely on fully. Clearabee seemed to have matched this criterion as Abbie Case described the company as “innovative”, “dynamic”, and with a “great service and highly responsive team.” She believed that Clearabee had proven their ability to deliver precise, efficient, and timely rubbish removal services to Co-op.
Clearabee is a reputable waste removal company that provides services across the UK. It was established in 2012 and has its headquarters in Birmingham and offices in 60 locations within Britain. Their main mode of collection is man-and-van rubbish removal. However, they also use sacks for small-scale jobs. They cover all kinds of wastes on a same-day collection basis. Moreover, they are dynamic and can adapt to their clients’ waste removal needs. They charge as per the size of waste collected. Also, their operations are exclusively in-house. Having completed thousands of collections before, they have the experience needed for the job. Clearabee relies on landfilling as a disposal method for most of their wastes. Currently, the company features in the Financial Time’s list of Europe’s rapidly-developing companies.
